About

New Site? Redesign? Failing Web Project?

We work with all types of projects.

  • We build sites from scratch.
  • We very often redesign existing sites - including re-evaluating the site's content and structure.
  • We've split up web properties into separate sites, as well as merged separate sites onto a common platform.

Quite often these days, we get called to rescue failing web projects - when one or more vendors have walked away or been fired, the initial budget has been spent, yet no acceptable website has been delivered. It's an intense situation, and we enjoy turning it around.

Network

We work with a network of trusted experts.  They are independent professionals in development, sitebuilding, design and content strategy.

We match your needs with the right skillset.

Marion Marquardt headshotI was always curious as a child, and lived in multiple countries. Eventually that led me to MIT where I earned two degrees: a Bachelors in Computer Science and a Masters for which I did Human Computer Interaction research at the Artificial Intelligence lab.

Microsoft then trained me as a program manager; I became very familiar with product lifecycle management and quality assurance. I worked on rolling out content management systems internationally before that had a name; and I also spent time in the data mining, business reporting, and analytics team which drilled into me how to work with databases and content modeling.

I decided to shift my focus from software development to the broader picture of the potential and impact of the new digital connectedness from a social perspective. I therefore went back to school and earned a Masters in Technology Policy from Cambridge University's business school

For the next few years I worked with an international network of non-profit organizations. I dived into Drupal from the point of view of an editor and one in charge of supporting the system and training others on it - starting with Drupal version 4.7. Whereas I had once been in the position of developing software, I was now researching available software solutions and managing vendors for customization projects.

One day I realized I really enjoyed both listening to people to really get a solid understanding of what their aspirations were for their website, as well as crafting a custom solution for them.  I started my own business.
It brought me back to an early love: I frequently get to work with higher education clients - though not exclusively.  So here I am currently building a number of custom web sites and web systems - guiding teams through prioritization exercises, information architecture, content readiness, and launch.
